  • What curling iron do they use?
    Our stylists use Bio Ionic Brand 1 or 1½ inch curling irons.
  • What texture spray should I get?
    Our stylists prefer using the Loreal Next Day Hair.

  • When should I get a haircut?
    We recommend getting a haircut every 2-4 months, your stylist will also make recommendations based on the cut.
  • What service should I book?
    Depending on what you are looking for that will change what we recommend. We recommend calling into our salon for recommendations on what to book.
  • What product should I use between appointments?
    Your stylist will give you recommendations on that.
  • What are the prices?
    That will depend on the service you are getting done. We recommend calling into our salon for quotes on the prices.
  • My toner is fading!
    Oh no! I am sorry that is happening. The main causes for fading are Hot water in the shower, being in the sun, or not using proper hair care products. Please give us a call if you need further assistance.
  • When can I go more blonde?
    We don’t recommend more than every 6-8 weeks so your hair stays healthy.
  • Where is the Salon Located/Address?

  • What is your cancellation policy?
    If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment we will charge the card on file $50. If you no-show the appointment without notice, we will charge the card for the full service.
  • How long will my appointment be?
    For color services, our average appointment length will be 3-4 hours.
  • Can I bring my kids to the appointment?
    No, we have a no kids policy in the salon for safety reasons.
  • What should I wear to my appointment?
    We do our best but accidents can happen, so we recommend wearing something you are okay with if it gets a little color on it.
  • Can my friend come with me?
    No, we do not have room for extra guests with the appointments.
  • My hair is getting dry.
    This can be caused by a lot of things, I would recommend booking an appointment to get a deep conditioner and some good products recommended for you as well.
  • How can I purchase clothes from Shade9Thrifted?
    In store for now, we will be building our online shop soon!
  • Can you lighten box dye?
    For this, we would need to do a full color consultation and then possibly a color correction. Please feel free to give us a call if you would like more information on that 385-489-3613.
  • I am going on vacation, how should I take care of my hair?"
    Your stylist will recommend products for you at your appointment, if you haven’t had an appointment with us, feel free to come in and talk with our stylists.
  • How can I pay?
    We are a card only salon
  • Do you take Venmo/Applepay/Facebook Pay etc?
    No, we are a card only salon.
  • Should I wash my hair before my appointment?
    We recommend clean hair for all services that we provide.
  • Can my hair be wet when I come in?
    We prefer hair to be clean and dry when you come in as blow drying before the service can take a lot of time.
  • What is a good purple shampoo?
    Our salon loves Fanola!
  • What shampoo and conditioner should I use?
    Our salon loves Olaplex Shampoo and Conditioner. Using good shampoo and conditioner is the best way to keep your hair healthy and your color long term.
  • My hair is dry, what should I use?"
    Our salon loves the Olaplex Moisture Mask! Doing a hair mask at home can be very beneficial. We also offer moisture and protein treatments, ask about it at your next appointment!
  • My hair gets greasy!
    We recommend that you change up your shampoo from time to time. We like to do Tea Tree shampoos, but watch out they may make your color fade a little quicker.
  • I am going swimming, what can I do to protect my hair?"
    We recommend getting your hair wet and putting conditioner in it and braiding it before you get into the water. We also recommend using sunscreen on your hair if you will be in the sun. After care we recommend using a clarifying shampoo to get any extra minerals out of it.
  • My hair turned green after swimming!
    We recommend using a clarifying shampoo to get that out.
  • I am getting breakage around my face.
    This can be caused by a few different things, touching/pulling your hair, using hot tools around your hairline, and sometimes rubber ponytails can cause breakage. We recommend using a clip or scrunchie to hold your hair up. Your stylist can also recommend a good product for that.
  • How should I sleep with extensions?
    We recommend using a silk pillowcase for this, and make sure you put your hair in a loose braid or low loose bun.
  • What product should I use for my extensions?
    Paraben and sulfate free shampoo and conditioner is what we recommend.
  • My hair went too ashy/purple/gray after my appointment.
    I am sorry that happened! We recommend using a clarifying shampoo and hot water to get that out a little quicker. We typically will tone a bit more ashy so the yellow doesn’t show up quite as fast.
  • My scalp is sore from bleaching!
    I am sorry that happens, we recommend using aloe on it to help. We also recommend using cool showers and not being aggressive when scratching your head.
